- Occasional travel to supported practice locations as needed.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Senior Revenue Cycle Manager to lead and support our billing, collections, and credentialing teams across a rapidly growing multi-site dental organization.
This role combines operational leadership with hands-on revenue cycle expertise. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who enjoys coaching and developing teams while driving process improvements, maximizing collections, and ensuring exceptional financial performance across the organization.
The Senior Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee the full revenue cycle process, including claims management, accounts receivable, denial resolution, credentialing support, and revenue cycle performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle Leadership:
- Oversee the full dental revenue cycle across supported practice locations.
- Ensure efficient management of eligibility verification, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and collections workflows.
- Monitor accounts receivable performance and implement strategies to improve collection outcomes.
- Develop and maintain revenue cycle standards, processes, and best practices.
- Support revenue optimization initiatives while maintaining compliance and patient satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop billing specialists, AR representatives, and credentialing coordinators.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor team productivity and establish performance expectations.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives within the revenue cycle department.
Accounts Receivable & Denial Management:
- Oversee AR follow-up activities and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances.
- Analyze denial trends and identify root causes.
- Develop corrective action plans to reduce denials and improve reimbursement rates.
- Escalate and resolve complex payer issues as needed.
- Monitor aging reports and implement strategies to improve overabll AR pberformance.
Practice & Operational Support:
- Partner with Operations, Practice Managers, and Finance teams to resolve billing challenges.
- Support newly affiliated practices through revenue cycle integration and workflow standardization.
- Assist with training initiatives related to billing and collections best practices.
- Ensure consistent communication between practice-level teams and centralized billing operations.
Compliance & Credentialing Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, ADA guidelines, CDT coding standards, and payer requirements.
- Support provider credentialing and enrollment processes.
- Maintain accurate payer rosters and provider participation records.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure appropriate operational adjustments.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of dental revenue cycle management experience required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of dental billing, collections, insurance verification, coordination of benefits, and claims processing.
- Demonstrated experience managing accounts receivable and denial resolution workflows.
- Experience leading teams in a multi-location or high-volume environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and dental billing compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze operational and financial performance metrics.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience within a DSO, multi-site dental group, or healthcare organization.
- Familiarity with clearinghouse platforms and revenue cycle reporting tools.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Revenue cycle certification (CRCR, CHBME, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale revenue cycle operations and process improvement initiatives.
