Dental Hygienist
Location: Medford, NY 11763
Pay Range: $48–$55/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a modern dental practice that prioritizes quality care and a concierge-level patient experience. This role supports one-hour recall appointments, thorough documentation, and strong patient education. Hygienists also have opportunities for professional growth through a Hygiene Executive Committee that supports and leads the hygiene team.
Schedule
- Monday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Thursday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 2:00pm

- Flexible for full-time or part-time days
Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust with patients
- Enhance oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers
- Thoroughly document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints
- Take x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor progress/changes
- Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist
- Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when needed
- Provide clear instructions for at-home care and ongoing oral health maintenance
Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in New York
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation
- Any additional certification or license required by the state to perform assigned duties
