Physical Therapist – New Hyde Park, NY
Full-Time | $50–$55 per Hour or $100,000–$120,000 Annually, Based on Experience.
Schedule: This is a full-time position with a fixed weekday schedule:
- Monday: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekends.
Each shift includes a 30-minute break. Part-time and partial-day schedules are not currently available.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join an established outpatient pain-management practice in New Hyde Park, New York. This position offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one musculoskeletal care within a collaborative, physician-owned practice. The office includes physical therapy, acupuncture, and interventional pain-management services, creating a consistent internal referral base and a coordinated approach to patient care. The practice is adding a second Physical Therapist to divide the existing caseload and support continued growth. New graduates and experienced Physical Therapists are both welcome to apply.
Patient Care Model:
- 100% outpatient setting.
- One-on-one patient care.
- Primarily adult and geriatric patients between the ages of 30 and 80
- Musculoskeletal conditions, including joint pain, lower-back pain, and neck pain.
- Target caseload of approximately 25 patients per therapist each day.
- Strong internal referrals from the pain-management physician.
- Clinician-led treatment decisions without micromanagement.
- Support from a Physical Therapy aide and front-office team.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other evidence-based treatments.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients regarding their conditions, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the referring physician and other members of the care team.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapy aide and front-office staff to maintain an organized patient flow.
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, and team-oriented clinical environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Active New York Physical Therapist license.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a structured, high-volume outpatient environment.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to patient care.
- No minimum level of experience or specialty certification is required.

Compensation and Benefits: Compensation will be structured based on experience and final employment terms:
- Hourly compensation: $50–$55 per hour.
- Potential salaried compensation: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Opportunities for future raises and discretionary bonuses based on performance and patient-volume goals.
- 10 paid days off after completing the 90-day introductory period.

Practice Culture and Growth:

Leadership remains involved in supporting operations and patient flow without micromanaging clinical care. The current team includes a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapy aide, and two front-office team members. This new position offers significant room for professional growth as the Physical Therapy department and patient base continue to expand.
