Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced In-House IT Specialist to support a growing dental organization with six locations throughout Maryland. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting practice management systems, and ensuring minimal downtime across all offices.
The ideal candidate will have prior IT experience within the dental industry and be highly proficient with Eaglesoft. This individual should enjoy working directly with clinical and administrative teams, providing exceptional customer service while resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently.
The selected candidate's home office will be the practice location closest to their residence but must be willing to travel to all six Maryland offices as needed to provide onsite technical support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite and remote IT support for six dental practice locations throughout Maryland.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for all hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, monitors, printers, scanners, phones, and other office equipment.
  • Support and troubleshoot Eaglesoft practice management software and related dental technology.
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of digital imaging systems, sensors, intraoral cameras, and other dental equipment connected to the network.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and workstation setups.
  • Coordinate software updates, system upgrades, antivirus protection, and security patches.
  • Troubleshoot internet connectivity, wireless networks, VPN access, and server-related issues.
  • Work with third-party vendors to resolve escalated technology issues when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and recommend replacements or upgrades as needed.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of support requests.
  • Assist with onboarding new offices, employees, and technology implementations.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain secure technology practices throughout the organization.
  • Provide excellent customer service while educating team members on technology best practices.
Qualifications
  • Previous IT support experience within the dental industry is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Eaglesoft is required.
  • Experience supporting multi-location healthcare or dental organizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, printers, wireless infrastructure, and server environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting dental imaging software and hardware preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA security requirements and data protection best practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to travel between all practice locations throughout Maryland.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting dental practice management software.
  • Knowledge of digital radiography systems and imaging integrations.
  • Experience with workstation deployment, hardware upgrades, and network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technology solutions and cybersecurity best practices.
