Ceramist Dental Technician
Location: Approximately 20 minutes from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Compensation: $80,000–$110,000+ per year, based on skills and experience

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Dental Ceramist to join a well-established dental laboratory located approximately 20 minutes from Hamilton, Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic eye and extensive experience producing high-quality anterior and posterior restorations. This position requires advanced expertise in ceramic layering, contouring, staining, glazing, and finishing.
Candidates with exceptional technical skills, experience completing complex full-mouth restorations, or previous leadership responsibilities may qualify for a higher compensation package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Layer, contour, stain, glaze, and finish high-quality ceramic restorations.
- Complete anterior and posterior crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported restorations.
- Work with zirconia, porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations, lithium disilicate, and other ceramic materials.
- Evaluate case design, dental anatomy, tooth morphology, texture, translucency, and shade.
- Produce natural-looking restorations that meet both functional and aesthetic standards.
- Complete custom shades and complex aesthetic cases when required.
- Review completed cases for accuracy, fit, function, and overall quality before final delivery.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, managers, and other laboratory team members.
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting laboratory production timelines.
- Follow established laboratory procedures and quality-control standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a dental ceramist.
- Strong ceramic layering, contouring, staining, glazing, and finishing skills.
- Experience working with zirconia, PFM, lithium disilicate, and other ceramic materials.
- Ability to complete both anterior and posterior restorative cases.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, morphology, occlusion, contacts, margins, and shade.
- Experience with metal and zirconia fitting.
- Experience with veneers, implant-supported restorations, full-mouth cases, and complex aesthetic work is highly preferred.
