Senior Dental Ceramist:
  • Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite.
  • Compensation: $30–$35 per hour (based on experience).

Position Overview:
A well-established, full-service dental laboratory in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Senior Dental Ceramist to join its growing team.

This role is ideal for a ceramist with a strong artistic eye, refined technical skills, and proven experience handling complex full mouth and full arch restorative cases. The position focuses on delivering highly aesthetic, functional ceramic restorations in a quality-driven environment.

The Senior Ceramist will play a key role in producing premium results while collaborating closely with technicians, designers, and clinical partners to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate high-quality ceramic restorations including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported prosthetics.
  • Manage and execute full mouth and full arch cases with strong esthetic outcomes.
  • Apply advanced ceramic layering techniques for natural morphology and lifelike aesthetics.
  • Perform contouring, staining, and glazing to meet functional and cosmetic standards.
  • Evaluate cases for fit, occlusion, shade accuracy, and overall quality before final delivery.
  • Maintain consistency in shade matching, surface texture, and anatomical detail.
  • Collaborate with digital designers and technicians to ensure accurate case execution.
  • Adhere to established quality control and turnaround standards.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or certification in Dental Technology (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Dental Ceramist (senior-level experience preferred).
  • Strong expertise in ceramic layering, staining, glazing, and finishing.
  • Experience working with zirconia, lithium disilicate, and porcelain restorations.
  • Demonstrated experience handling full mouth rehabilitation cases.
  • Excellent eye for esthetics, color harmony, and natural tooth anatomy.
  • Ability to work independently within a collaborative team setting.
  • Familiarity with digital workflows and CAD/CAM systems is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
